This course covers the critical aspects of infection control in health care facilities, including pandemic responses.

Objectives	Participants will gain the skills and essential knowledge to manage a health care facility during a pandemic outbreak.
Expected Outcomes	Successful participants will be able to: Follow infection control guidelines; Identify and respond to infection risks; Maintain personal hygiene; Use personal protective equipment; Limit contamination; Handle, package, label, store, transport and dispose of clinical and other waste; Clean environmental surfaces.
Who Should Attend	Health Care Workers who will be caring for clients / residents / patients in Health Care Facilities.
Accreditation	Successful participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following unit of competency: HLTIN301A - Comply with Infection Control Policies and Procedures in Health Work.
