First Aid For Divers

The course is designed to meet special first aid requirements of commercial and recreational divers.


Length of Qualification The certificate is valid for 3 years but requires annual update of the Advanced Resuscitation component.
Prerequisite Full Course Nil
Objectives For the participants to gain the skills and knowledge to deal with the injured or ill diver.
Expected Outcomes Successful participants will be able to, in real situations, render life saving and basic first aid to the diving casualty.

Accreditation Successful participants receive a Statement of Attainment for the following units of Competency:
HLTFA301B – Apply First Aid
HLTFA402B – Apply Advanced First Aid
HLTFA404A – Apply Advanced Resuscitation Techniques
