Occupational First Aid (Reaccreditation)

 

The Level 3 course is an extension of the skills acquired in Workplace Level 2 to equip the occupational first aider with necessary knowledge to perform competently within the industrial environment and with the relevant equipment. The course complies with Workplace Standards Authority guidelines.


Length of Qualification This certificate is valid for 3 years
Prerequisite Full Course A current Workplace Level 2 - Senior First Aid certificate or equivalent.
Reaccreditation A current Workplace Level 3 – Occupational First Aid certificate that has been issued within the last 12 months.
Objectives To provide advanced first aid skills and knowledge for work as an occupational first aider responsible for a first aid room.
Expected Outcomes Successful participants will be able to, in real situations, give emergency management of illness and injury and maintain first aid facilities.
Who Should Attend Particularly suitable for the first aider in larger organisations who are employed as the occupational first aider, or in charge of a first aid room.
Accreditation Successful participants receive a Statement of Attainment for the following units of Competency:
HLTFA301B – Apply First Aid
HLTFA402B – Apply Advanced First Aid
HLTFA403A – Manage First Aid in the Workplace
